The LBCC ASB Cabinet will award PCC students with certificates of dedication and leadership to their community and college.
“Two awards will be presented. The honor certificate will be awarded to students who have shown leadership, maintained a 2.5 GPA and have been enrolled in at least six units.” said Miles Friesen, student life coordinator.
The second certificate to be given out is the Crystal Award. To receive this award students must show leadership, contribute to the LBCC community and received an honor award in their prior semester. They also must again maintain a 2.5 GPA, be enrolled in six units or more and have at least 30 hours of community or college service.
Not only will these students be earning an award but they also will be recognized by LBCC student life coordinators and LBCC officials. The award ceremony will be held at The Grand in Long Beach at the Mingle and Jingle banquet, which is also combined with the ASB banquet on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012 at 6 p.m. These events are invitation only.
